Union Textiles Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao on Tuesday made a sensational statement saying that some Congress leaders had agreed for the division of the State with an eye on Chief Minister post.
Speaking to the media, Kavuri alleged that some leaders had told cock and bull stories to the Congress party high command, and made it to take a decision on division of the State.
Stating that both regions would be affected if the state is divided, he said that he always brought to the notice of the party high command in every Cabinet meeting that the decision on division was not correct on the part of the Centre.
He said that he didn’t know about the Chief Minister addressing letters to the Prime Minister and President of the nation.
He said there was no truth in the statement of senior Congress leader JC Diwakar Reddy that the Congress party has colluded with YSRCP.
