Bharatiya Janata Party Andhra Pradesh unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana on Monday alleged that Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu was trying to project the BJP as a villain in the eyes of the people by repeatedly claiming that the Centre had betrayed the state by not releasing funds to various projects.
“Naidu is a big liar and lacks political culture. He is throwing the blame on Modi to cover up his inefficient administration,” Lakshminarayana said, while addressing a day-long “Maha Dharna” at Vijayawada.
The dharna was held in protest against the unsavoury attack by Naidu against Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing the latter of neglecting the state.
He said more than any other state, AP had received the maximum funds from the Centre in the last four years.
“It is not the Centre, but Naidu who has become a big hurdle for the development of the state. We are going to thoroughly expose his inept administration in the coming days,” he said, adding the TDP had no interest in development of the state except in politicising every issue.
The BJP leader also strongly condemned the growing attacks on the BJP activists ever since the TDP snapped ties with the BJP in April.
Kanna alleged that Chandrababu Naidu had planned to assassinate BJP president Amit Shah in Tirupati when he went to the Tirumala temple with his family.
“Naidu, his cabinet colleagues and legislators have been making derogatory comments against the Prime Minister. The police remained silent spectators when the TDP activist attacked the convoy of BJP national president Amit Shah,” Lakshminarayana alleged.
