Lok Satta Party leader Jayaprakash Narayan who has been silent of late has finally opened up. Stating that 2000-3000 acres would more than suffice for the construction of the new ‘Capital’, JP questioned the need to acquire 30000 acres and that too forcibly.
"The entire land acquisition process seems to have been designed only with the intention of helping the realtors. The poor farmers apparently do not figure in the scheme of things at all. If the government goes ahead with its wrong agenda of forcibly acquiring the land then we will fight them tooth and nail. As it is, the State is suffering because of the useless promises made by Chandrababu Naidu. On top of it, he is now resorting to land-grabbing as well," said JP.
