Bharatiya Janata Party State president G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday claimed that his party was not communal and against Muslims.
Addressing the Eid Milaap function organised by the BJP State Minority Morcha at party's State headquarters at Nampally to mark the Pongal and Milaad-un-Nabi, Kishan Reddy said the BJP had never differentiated people because of their religion.
He said many Muslims had been joining the party and they could certify the secular approach of the BJP. He alleged that the Congress party had used the Muslims as a vote bank.
Kishan Reddy said that the plans for educational and overall development of Muslims would be incorporated in the party's manifesto for the 2014 elections.
He said BJP wants Muslim of the country to get equal opportunities in education, jobs and other sectors on par with other communities.
He said that the teachings of Prophet Mohammad were meant for the entire humanity and they should be followed and practised to establish peace and harmony in the world.
