The New Year will herald the season of political migrations, particularly from the ruling Congress.
With the division of the state becoming inevitable, the Seemandhra Congress leaders are already looking for greener pastures to secure their political future.
The most preferred destination for the political migratory birds is the YSR Congress Party.
The attention is now riveted on the senior Congress leader from Anantapur district J C Diwakar Reddy. His exit from Congress is imminent but it is not yet clear which party will he join-- whether Telugu Desam Party or YSRCP.
According to sources, the YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is said to be averse to admitting JC into the party. However, he has agreed to the entry of JC's son Pavan Reddy into the party.
In fact, according to YSRCP sources, Pavan will be given the party ticket to contest Anantapur Lok Sabha seat.
By announcing a candidate for the Tadipatri Assembly seat, Jagan has sent a clear signal that there was no place for Diwakar Reddy in his party.
According to sources, when Diwakar Reddy’s issue came up for discussion within the party, Jagan had reportedly said that the party had faced a problem when it had admitted Dadi Veerabhadra Rao from TDP and that he did not want to repeat the same problem by inviting Diwakar Reddy into the party.
It may be recalled that Dadi's entry into the party had caused lot of heartburns among the YSRCP leaders in Visakhapatnam district including senior leader Konatala Ramakrishna and others.
