Senior Congress MLA J C Diwakar Reddy on Thursday clarified that he had enough support for contesting for the Rajya Sabha seat, election for which will be held on February 7.
Interacting with scribes at Assembly lobbies, Diwakar clarified that he did not offer any ‘Volvo bus’ for extending support.
The leaders extended support in favour of Samaikyandhra, he said and exuded confidence that he had total support to become an MP of Rajya Sabha as he is in favor of keeping the state united.
On Samaikyandhra stance, he said that members can express their own feelings in accordance with their regions.
He observed that even if the House gets extension of time for continuing debate, the Centre will pass the Telangana Draft Bill in the parliament.
On Chief Minister, N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s plan to move a resolution or to press for voting on the bill, he said that any move by the C M will not defer the Centre from according statehood to Telangana.
