Jaipal in race for Telangana CM post

Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy seems to be strongly lobbying for the Chief Minister post in the proposed Telangana State, which might go to polls independently after bifurcation.

According to reports from New Delhi, Jaipal has been cleverly moving his pawns and placed his kerchief on the CM post, even as there is no consensus among the other Telangana Congress leaders over the post. That is precisely why Jaipal has started speaking fiercely in favour of Telangana State in the recent past.

TDP MLA Payyavula Keshav wondered why Jaipal who had been keeping silent for the last nine years had suddenly started raising the pitch for Telangana.

“It is pretty clear that he is enamoured of CM’s post,” Kesav said.

Condemning the statements of Union ministers  Sushil Kumar Shinde, Jaipal Reddy, AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh with regard to State bifurcation, Kesav alleged that Jaipal Reddy and Sushil Kumar Shinde were talking as if they know everything about dates of sending the bill to Parliament.

It will be the President, who will forward the bill to Parliament. “If they had information about the dates and times, did they think that the President is a rubber stamp?” he asked.
