It looks like senior Congress MLA Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy is sending feelers to Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and is dropping enough hints that he is willing to join the TRS, if he gets proper invite.
Jagga Reddy, who won from Sangareddy assembly constituency in the recent assembly elections, is staking claim for the Congress Legislature Party leader post.
At the same time, he is trying to get into the good book of KCR so that he can get entry into the TRS party.
On Thursday, Jagga Reddy said he was seeking an appointment with the chief minister to represent issues pertaining to his constituency.
“KCR does not need me, but I need KCR to develop my constituency. I am keenly waiting to meet him, if I am given an appointment,” he said.
The Congress MLA also offered to felicitate KCR if he visited Sangareddy constituency.
“I will accord rousing reception to the chief minister in my constituency and felicitate him. If does not want to come, I cannot do anything but to keep silent,” he said.
Jagga Reddy further said there was no need to make any harsh comments against the chief minister at present, as the people had given him a big mandate.
“I have told my party activists not to make any unnecessary comments against KCR and his party. People already gave their verdict,” he said.
What does that imply? It clearly indicates that Jagga Reddy will be more than happy if he gets an invitation from the TRS to join!
