The YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's indefinite fast against the Centre’s unilateral decision to divide the state has entered the fourth day on Tuesday.
The health condition of Jagan, who began the fast on Saturday demanding the Centre to roll back its decision of bifurcating the state, is deteriorating.
The doctors conducted a series of medical tests on Jagan on Monday to check his Blood Pressure, sugar level and pulse rate.
According to sources, his sugar levels have started dropping down and blood pressure fluctuating. However, the Kadapa MP is determined to continue the hunger strike till the Central Government makes a climb down and withdraws its decision to split the state.
After Jagan commenced his fast, the Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu has followed the suit and chose Delhi for undertaking indefinite fast.
However, the authorities of the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan, where he is sitting on fast, have served a notice to him, asking him to vacate the premises as it is not meant for holding protest programmes.
The AP Bhavan officials said that the permission was only limited to holding press conferences but it was against the rules to hold protest programme at the venue.
Naidu and his team have been asked to vacate the premises by this evening. It is likely that Naidu will shift the hunger strike camp to Jantar Mantar and continue the fast.
