Jagan's Counter-Strategy

Jagan's Counter-Strategy

The YSRCP has come out with an impressive strategy to embarrass the defectors from its party to the TDP.

It intends to introduce a no-confidence motion against the government on the first day of the Assembly session. Thus far, seven MLAs and one MLC from the YSRCP have crossed over to the TDP.

There are reports that some more YSRCP legislators are in touch with the ruling party. The Jaganmohan Reddy-led party has 67 MLAs in the House of 175. The party will issue a whip directing all its MLAs to abide by the party line and vote against the TDP government.

The legislators, who had switched loyalties, will be forced to vote against the government if the House takes up voting.

Those who transgress the party line will face disqualification. Thus, YSRCP people owing allegiance to TDP will find themselves having to vote against the TDP. Not a bad strategy for a moral victory.
