Jagan To Seek Court's Nod For Tour

The YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will soon move the court, seeking permission to leave Hyderabad and undertake a tour of the state in view of the turbulent political situation.

A day after being released on bail from Chanchalguda central jail, Jagan had a hectic day on Wednesday, meeting his party legislators and other leaders and also a delegation of the AP NGOs Association.

The party MLAs G. Srikanth Reddy and N.Prasanna Kudaymar Reddy told reporters after a meeting of the party MLAs and MLCs that their party chief was determined to undertake a tour of the state including the Telangana region.

During the meeting, Jagan was believed to have told his party leaders that there would be no going back on supporting the cause of united AP. He wanted them to send across the message across the state and also to the organisations engaged in the ongoing anti-bifurcation agitation.

“Since the CBI court had imposed the condition that he should not leave Hyderabad while granting bail, our leader will move the courts for necessary permissions to leave Hyderabad city for touring the state,” the legislators said.

The MLAs reiterated that the party’s stand from the very beginning has been pro-united AP.

“There is a vacuum of leadership in the state. The people in the state need a strong leader to guide them. This has become more necessary at the present juncture as the state is passing through a crisis. Jagan will fill the vacuum,” they said.

“Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra and Telangana regions are equally important to us. Our support base is not limited to a particular region in the state as we have supporters in Telangana region as well,” Srikanth Reddy said.

The MLAs demanded the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to withdraw his consent letter on division of the state.
