Jagan To Personally Meet Owaisi

Ever since his release from jail on bail, the YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been holding confabulations with his party leaders and close aides on how to intensify the movement to keep Andhra Pradesh united.

He is said to be keen on mobilizing the support of parties who have been steadfastly opposing the division of the state.

The CPI (M) and Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) are the parties that Jagan has shortlisted for strengthening the relationship ahead of the 2014 elections.

While Jagan had sent his emissaries Dr M V Mysoora Reddy, Subba Reddy and other to hold talks with the state CPI (M) Secretary B V Raghavulu and other leaders and explore the opportunity to work together for the united AP cause.

In the case of MIM, the buzz in YSRCP circles is that Jagan himself will go to MIM office to meet its chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

Jagan and Owaisi, who did their schooling from Hyderabad Public School (HPS), enjoy excellent personal rapport.

Jagan is believed to be keen on working closely with the MIM which has voiced its support for keeping the state united.

The MIM leadership also had very good relationship with the former Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

After severing ties with the Congress, Owaisi had said that he considered Jagan as his close friend.

It is possible that the two parties end up having an electoral alliance for the 2014 polls.

The MIM is a dominant political force in the old city and now has seven MLAs and one MP.
