Stage is set for the conclusion of YSR Congress party president and Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s historic Praja Sankalpa Yatra, a marathon padayatra.
According to sources, the party is working out schedule to see that Jagan will conclude his padayatra on January 9.
It would virtually mean he would be completing 14 months of his tour, barring the days of his appearance in the court and the days of his bed rest following attack on his life at Visakhapatnam airport on October 25.
Sources said Jagan would conclude his padayatra with a massive public meeting at Ichapuram in Srikakulam district.
“Once the padayatra is completed, Jagan will take a break for a few days before commencing his intense preparations for the next elections. The feedback he has received during the padayatra would help him formulate the party manifesto and the philosophy of his government, if the party is elected to power,” a party leader said.
His padayatra, which is definitely a record in Indian political history, is also being documented in the form of a video clip that would be extensively used in the coming election campaign.
The padayatra has definitely brought about a lot of maturity in his thinking and he would make use of his experience in working out his poll strategies, his party sources said.
