Jagan Mohan Reddy took on both the Congress and the BJP at his dharna in Jantar Mantar, Delhi.
While blaming the Congress for being the root cause of trouble in the first place, he lashed out at the BJP for having brought out the promise of special status to Andhra Pradesh out of nowhere and failing to honor it.
On Rahul Gandhi’s visit to AP, Jagan ridiculed it saying that the Congress has been silent all along and have done nothing for the state of AP.
Jagan also questioned the relevance of Parliament when promises made in it could not be kept.
In the recent past, Jagan has never taken on the Congress with such vehemence. Neither has he criticized the BJP lending credence to the allegation that he was concerned about the cases against him. But Jagan took on both the Congress and the BJP.
Apart from the impression that he has now finally severed his umbilical cord with the Congress, his dharna in the national capital has put the TDP under immense pressure.
