YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has at last been able to find the right nerve to attack his political rival, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the special category status issue.
Jagan’s Yuva Bheri programme held at Eluru in West Godavari district was a huge success, as he could communicate with the students in a more effective way that he had done in the past with general crowd.
The students heard him with rapt attention and also interacted with him after his speech. And almost all the students expressed their solidarity with Jagan in his fight against the Naidu government for its failure to secure special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
Affirming that the fight for special status would continue, Jagan said the State and Central governments were constantly on the lookout for lame excuses to shelve the special category status which would immensely benefit the future generations more than any package or welfare scheme.
“Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu have gone back on their poll promise and are desperately trying to push the special category status to back burner on some pretext or the other but we will fight for our right and will achieve it,” he said.
Special status will come with many incentives to the industrialists which will pave way for development, creation of jobs and increase in economic activity and it is a boon for the youth. We have to join hands and fight till we achieve the goal, he said.
