YSRCP head Y Jaganmohan Reddy has made an interesting comment while addressing his MLAs. He made it clear to those present that it was not important to win once.
He said their victory would be meaningful if they worked with and amongst people and understood their problems.
Jagan said that any leader was laudable only when he is capable of winning a second time.
During the two-year period when Jagan was jailed, 15 MLAs had won on YSRCP tickets. Out of them, three lost during the 2014 general elections. So, his party cadre feels that his latest comments were indirectly hinting at those who lost.
In future, Jagan promised that he would organize village-level committees and fight against any wrong-doings of the TDP government. He said he would strive to expose any anti-people policies taken up by the Chandra Babu government in the coming years.
In all, it is being felt that he was giving a direct warning to his party members that they should not take their success for granted and that they should work hard to win during the next elections.
