Jagan Plan: Not Just MPs, Even MLAs To Quit?

If the reports coming from the camp of YSR Congress party are to be believed, it is not just the party MPs who are going to resign from their posts and contest the by-elections again on the plank of special category status to AP; but even the party MLAs are also contemplating to quit their posts.

According to these reports. Jagan is learnt to have got the feedback from various constituencies in the state to know the people’s pulse on the performance of the Centre and the state governments. And the feedback was very much encouraging for Jagan.

The people, especially those in the rural areas, are very much agitated over the Modi government’s recent decision on ban of 500 and 1000 rupee notes resulting in severe cash crunch.

The anger is growing with every passing day as it has cascading effect on prices of essential commodities and also livelihood. Several works have come to a halt, leading to loss of work for daily wage workers.

And Jagan wants to take advantage of it. His strategy is to target his rival N Chandrababu Naidu, who is claimed to have recommended to Modi to ban 500/1000 rupee notes.

According to him, Naidu diverted all his black money to other sources because he got an early hint on the ban on currency. While he is safe, common people are suffering, he says.

If this taken into the people aggressively, it will definitely get a lot of mileage to YSRC. Added to this, the special status issue is anyway there. So, it is better to make all his MLAs and not just MPs to resign and force by-elections on the state. That will break the backbone of the TDP, say the reports.
