Jagan Not Committed To Support Modi!

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy took strong exception to a section of English media for distorting his statement on extending support to the Centre after election results.

In a statement, Jagan found fault with the media for making wrong interpretations to his comments made after polling at Pulivendula on May 7, though he had made a categorical statement.

“Since Congress has divided the State undemocratically and irrationally, our support to that party is ruled out. When it comes to non-Congress Parties, our party did not take any names but said, first we will win 25 MP seats and then think whether we support Modi, Tom, Dick or Harry,” Jagan said.

There were distortions and imaginary conclusions on these remarks, he said. With 25 MPs, the YSRCP says that it would be having an upper hand and play a pivotal role in the formation of the Government at Centre.

However, Jagan said his party would not surrender to Delhi diktats like TDP president N Chandrbaabu Naidu did, but would upkeep the Telugu pride.

“While Chandrababu Naidu has been showing Modi and seeking votes, we sought votes on the Telugu Pride plank,” he said.
