Jagan meets Mulayam on bifurcation

As part of his efforts to mobilize support at national level to keep Andhra Pradesh united, the YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been meeting leaders various political parties and explaining  to them the dangers of dividing the state. 

He called on the Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav in Delhi on Monday and the two leaders discussed the prevailing political situation.

Jagan, who is in Delhi to attend the ongoing the winter session of the Parliament, is scheduled to meet the Janata Dal (Secular) chief H D Deven Gowda in the evening. 

He will request the leaders of other national and regional parties to oppose the Telangana bill in the Parliament and ensure that it does not get passed by the House. 

Earlier, Jagan visited several state capitals and met leaders of regional parties as part of his mission to stall the bifurcation process.

The YSRCP had earlier met the Chief ministers Mamata Banerjee (West Bengal), J Jayalalithaa (Tamil Nadu) and Akhilesh Yadav (Uttar Pradesh) and appealed to them to cooperate with the efforts to keep Andhra Pradesh united. 

He has accused the Congress of trying to divide the state only for the sake of votes and seats in the coming general elections with the sole aim of making Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister.
