YSCRP was totally wiped up in north Andhra and its head YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is now in Vizag to understand the reasons behind their party’s failure in the entire region. A day after he landed in Vizag, Jagan has made some interesting observations.
According to him, YSRCP had lost in Vizag and nearby places due to a consistent and systematic campaign launched against the party by the local TDP members.
He alleged that some hired TDP members created ruckus in Waltair Club and later put the blame on YSRCP members creating a bad image for the party.
Similarly, Jagan alleged that TDP had hired 400 students of Narayana College and gave each student Rs 20,000 to go into people and take up anti-YSRCP campaigning.
Jagan accused TDP of spreading bad mouth publicity which finally resulted in YSRCP losing all the seats in the region. He also blamed TDP of acquiring the details of local YSRCP leaders and coercing them into shifting loyalties towards TDP.
Finally, Jagan accepted that his party failed to anticipate and deal with such hurdles. However, he assured his party members that he would be alert from now on and make sure that the party builds a strong base in the region.
While there is no concrete proof, Jagan’s allegations are nevertheless interesting.
