It appears that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy knows how to bring certain individuals under control.
Domesticating people who do not adhere to the rule of law is not an easy task and requires specific strategies.
Farmers who use cattle for agricultural purposes are familiar with the art of domesticating uncooperative cattle. They employ different methods to establish order and discipline among the unruly animals.
Similarly, Jagan Mohan Reddy is employing various approaches to discipline individuals who have been causing disruptions, such as Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, the chairman of Eenadu and Margadarsi.
Ramoji Rao seems to consider himself above the law and untouchable. Despite being given prior notice, he refused to attend the CID enquiry at their office in Guntur on July 6.
As a result of his refusal to cooperate, the Jagan Mohan Reddy government issued notices to investors who had deposited cash amounts exceeding Rs 1 crore in Margadarsi Chit Fund Company.
These cash deposits go against the regulations set by the Reserve Bank of India and the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
During previous CID searches, it was discovered that several individuals had made cash deposits in Margadarsi, violating the rules.
Based on this information, the CID sent notices to these investors, requesting their cooperation in the investigation.
This move is likely to put pressure on Ramoji Rao and encourage him to abide by the rule of law in the state.
We can only hope that Jagan Mohan Reddy will be able to tame this elderly individual and transform him into a law-abiding citizen.
