YSR Congress leader Jupudi Prabhakar Rao on Friday condemned the remarks of Congress MP Lagadapati Rajgopal who said that the Congress was ignoring its own party leaders and going ahead with bifurcation with the support of YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Jupudi said it was only Jagan who fought against bifurcation in and outside the jail.
He challenged Rajagopal to resign from MP seat if he was so sincere for Samikhyandhra after his party decision.
He wanted to know why Seemandhra Congress leaders were still continuing in their party.
“If they are sincere, they should resign and topple the government,” he said adding that YSRC party is against the decision of the Central cabinet and its decision was against the spirit of the constitution.
Jupudi said instead of opposing the bifurcation, the TDP leaders are criticizing YSRC which is unwarranted.
Criticising TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, YSRC leader Vasireddy Padma questioned him why he is keeping silent on the State bifurcation decision.
