Remember how former Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy had once gone hammer and tongs against Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu in the Assembly, when the latter was the Leader of the Opposition?
An agitated YSR had vowed to expose Naidu all out and made the latter wonder why he was born to his mother. “Ninnu Kadigesthaa Chandrababu…. Nee Amma Kadupuna Enduku Puttanaa ani anukune vidhanga uthikesthaa..” (I will wash you thoroughly, Mr Chandrababu and make you repent why you were born to your mother), he said during the course of an argument. And Naidu was so shocked that he remained dumb-founded for a long time.
On Wednesday, YSR’s son and now Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy made more or less same statement.
Reacting strongly to the personal criticism leveled against him by the ruling party members, an agitated Jagan said he would expose Naidu during the debate on budget.
“You will all see how I will wash you down thoroughly during my speech on budget,” Jagan said in an aggressive tone.
Only difference is that YSR was then the Chief Minister, while Jagan is now in Opposition. That will make all the difference!
