The Telangana groups have stepped up their attack on YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for deciding to hold a public meeting in Hyderabad on October 19, only to provoke Telangana people.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA K T Rama Rao said Jagan’s meeting would only heighten tensions in the Telangana region, which had hitherto been maintaining utmost restraint after the Centre’s decision to divide the state.
“The Telangana movement has been running in a peaceful manner. But some Seemandhra leaders are trying to rake up tensions by organizing Samaikyandhra meetings in Hyderabad,” he said.
The TRS leader warned that the situation would turn serious if the Centre failed to send the Telangana bill to the Assembly by end of this month.
He said that the Telangana people were in doubt whether the ‘Telangana note’ was stalled due to the influence of Seemandhra money bundles.
