YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy might not have postponed his “Samaikya Sankharavam” at Hyderabad on Saturday despite heavy rains that battered several parts of the State, but the Congress leaders from Telangana showed their concern for rain-hit people.
The Telangana Congress leaders announced that they were postponing the victory rally proposed to be held in Karimnagar on Sunday.
According to Civil Supplies Minister D Sridhar Babu, the decision to postpone the rally was taken in view of heavy rains in the district and other parts of Telangana region.
The new dates for the victory rally would be decided later.
It may be mentioned that the Telangana Congress leaders have decided to conduct victory rallies across Telangana region to thank the Congress leadership for taking a favourable decision on Telangana.
One such meeting has already been held in Bodhan of Nizamabad district.
