Jagan decides to sack Duvvada?

The illegal relationship of YSR Congress party MLC Duvvada Srinivas from Tekkali with another married woman Divvela Madhuri and the massive publicity it has got on social media and mainstream media has created a big embarrassment to the party leadership.

According to latest reports from the party, YSRCP president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has taken serious note of the latest controversy over the extra marital affair of Duvvada, is learnt to have asked the latter to resign from the MLC seat.

“If Duvvada refuses to quit his MLC post in the next two days, Jagan will not hesitate to expel him from the party. He reportedly sent a strong message to the MLC to this effect,” party sources said.

It is learnt Duvvada has agreed to resign from the MLC seat in a day or two.

“But he seems to have asked the party leadership to give him some assurancne with regard to safeguarding his political interests,” sources said.

Apparently, Jagan felt that the large scale negative campaign against Duvvada and the police cases against him have caused immense damage to the party.

Hereafter, no party leader would be able to question others like Pawan Kalyan or Ganta Srinivas Rao from the NDA partners on the adultery issue.

Though senior YSRCP leaders like Botsa Satyanarayana and Y V Subba Reddy dismissed Duvvada’s episode as purely personal, the local YSRCP leaders and cadres have given it a political colour by alleging that his wife Vani, who is fighting against his extramarital affair, has the backing of Telugu Desam Party.

Duvvada himself has alleged that Vani has the support of K Atchennaidu and other senior TDP leaders from Srikakulam. Naturally, the TDP leaders have launched a counter attack, much to the chagrin of Jagan.

“If Duvvada is forced to resign from his MLC seat or sacked, the YSRCP can comfortably stay away from the controversy,” sources said.
