Jagan Begins Making Poll-Promises

Even as the State appears to be heading for bifurcation in the next few weeks, YSR Congress party president and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has started making promises to the people ahead of next general election.

Addressing a meeting at Idupulapaya on Sunday, Jagan said his party would supply seven-hour free power to farmers, if voted to power.

“We will set aside Rs 3,000 crores towards stabilization fund for farmers in the State besides focusing on welfare schemes”, he said.

“We can hold key at Centre by winning more than 30 MP seats during 2014 general elections”. He said they should support a Prime Minister, who will oppose State bifurcation and protect the State from division.

Jagan took serious exception to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for playing to the tunes of Congress high command with regard to Telangana demand.

He alleged that it is shameful on part of TD president N Chandrababu Naidu, who is seeking votes taking the name of NTR, whom he backstabbed.

Jagan also accused Kiran and Naidu of colluding for political mileage and failed to prevent the division of the State.
