YSR Congress party president, Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy appears to have become a lone fighter in the AP Assembly with not much support from his colleagues.
Taking advantage of his helpless position, TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu fielded a battery of ministers to attack Jagan.
On Tuesday, Jagan became the subject of attack from several ministers Atchannaidu Kinjarapu, P. Narayana, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Chinarajappa, Kamineni Srinivas and Pydikondala Manikyala Rao, who chose to target him personally quoting the CBI inquiry against him.
They said Jagan was afraid of his criminal activities in which he was involved. They requested Speaker Kodela, in a sarcastic manner, to conduct special training classes to Jagan and his team on how to behave in the House. They ridiculed that without knowing anything about the law, rules and functioning of the House, Jagan became leader of opposition party and they termed it as people’s sin.
However, Jagan shot back at the ruling party all alone. He also reacted in the same manner against ruling party leaders and ministers even on Chandrababu Naidu.
He alleged that though Chandrababu Naidu started his political career with just two and half acres of land, now he had grown to multi-crore through Heritage. He blamed that the CM was always trying to appear in the media since he is mad about the media.
Jagan said if government genuinely believed that the BJP did injustice to the State by not granting the special category status as well as by not sanctioning incentives which are supposed to be done by Centre since they are the legitimate demands of the state under the AP Reorganization Act, then TDP should withdraw its ministers from Union Government and remove the ministers belonging to the BJP in the state cabinet, with immediate effect. He demanded it again and again whenever he got chance in the House.
