Jagan Asks Farmers To Wait For His Government

The YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is currently on a visit to the cyclone-affected areas in coastal Andhra Pradesh, has started making political speeches while interacting with the affected farmers. He asked them to "have patience and wait for a few more months" before all their problems will be resoloved.

"Our party will come to power in the state and we will solve all your problems. Have patience to wait for a few months," Jagan told the farmers.

The YSRCP chief said that he would ensure a farmer friendly government when his party comes into power after 2014 elections.

He visited several cyclone-affected areas in West Godavari district and interacted with farmers in the affected villages and patiently heard their complaints and grievances.

Jagan said that irrespective of the present government's response to the devastation, the YSRCP, once voted to power, will definitely respond to the farmers' plight.

He demanded that the state government pay a compensation of Rs 10,000 per acre to farmers who lost their crop due to the cyclone, which left a trail of destruction in the coastal districts.

Beginning from Narasapuram, Jagan visited the fields to take note of the damage in Lakshmaneswaram and Sarva areas.
