The TDP has a MP, few RS members and a handful of MLAs. A few MLCs have jumped into TDP recently.
Now, the talk in political circles is that few more MLAs and MPs are ready to jump over into TRS from Telangana TDP.
Now, it is common for political leaders trying to jump over to look out for a plausible reason to justify their act.
In this case, for those who had already decided to get off the cycle and get into the car, the Polavaram Bill has come as a God-sent reason.
During the NDA rule, the President had put his stamp of approval on Polavaram ordinance.
Now, the BJP government has passed the Bill in Lok Sabha. So, the T defectors can now claim that since BJP and TDP are friendly parties and since they acted against the interests of Telangana people, that is reason enough to jump into TRS.
They are even making statements that after seeing the high-handedness of the Andhra party, they have a strong reason to join TRS.
Usually, there are many in political parties who wait for a call from the ruling party. In this case, they also have a reason to justify their defection. So, they are heading to get into the car after getting off the cycle!
