After a long time, Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad was buzzing with activity on Monday. For the first time in two years, it witnessed the presence of chief ministers of two Telugu states – N Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh and K Chandrasekhar Rao of Telangana, at the At Home get-together hosted by Governor E S L Narasimhan.
The surprising appearance was that of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly. So, it was a rare combination of Naidu, Jagan and KCR seen together, which perhaps happened for the first time.
Naidu shook hands with KCR, cracked jokes and shared lighter moments. On the other hand, Jagan, too, came to the two chief ministers and shook hands with them with a broad smile.
“It is like a full moon day at Raj Bhavan today. We have two moons here,” Governor Narasimhan remarked before the media.
What is surprising is that Naidu came all the way from Anantapur to Hyderabad only for the At Home function and flew to Vijayawada immediately after the get-together.
