Telangana NGOs Association leaders took lightly the proposed public meeting of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in Hyderabad for United Andhra Pradesh.
TNGO president Devi Prasad quipped that “it would be a send-off meeting for Jagan and his party in Telangana”. He warned that the State government would be held responsible if there was any law and order problem during the meeting.
Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy, however, said the YSRCP meeting in the State capital was only to provoke the people of the Telangana region. He said it was unfortunate that Jagan’s party got permission from the High Court to organize the public meeting. Asking the YSRCP to withdraw its meeting, Gutta said there was a chance of eruption of violence during the meeting.
