Once again, those in political circles are hotly debating the future of Jana Sena party. When it was founded, many felt that Pawan Kalyan would change the politics of Andhra Pradesh through his party. But his fans who have been anxiously waiting for him to ‘question’ and bring about change are now totally disappointed.
In fact, prior to 2014 elections, it was widely believed that Pawan would start his party and contest in the elections. But by the end of it, it appeared as if he founded the party to help TDP and BJP.
Then, post elections, it was said that Pawan would get busy building his party. But Pawan hasn’t taken at least one small step towards that end.
Common people are facing many problems both in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Still, there is no action from Pawan Kalyan.
He hasn’t once tried to question the leaders, some of whom he helped in winning. And there are rumours that while Chiranjeevi started his party and sold it to Congress, Pawan started a party and sold it off even before he could build it.
Surprisingly, despite the barrage of criticism being leveled against him, Pawan has maintained silence all along.
In the past, Pawan had started the Common Man Protection Force and created quite a stir. But eventually, CMPF was wiped off people’s memories.
Looks like, Jana Sena will go through a similar cycle. Also, the party’s name is missing from the list of political parties issued by the election commission. Naturally, this has raised many eyebrows and the fans are totally disillusioned.
Till about a few days back, the media got press releases on rare occasions from Jana Sena party office. But now, they have stopped.
As for Pawan, he is busy with films. Earlier, his elder brother Chiranjeevi realized that one cannot do films and be in politics at the same time. He then quit films and joined politics.
Now, many feel Chiranjeevi is more committed to political issues than Pawan Kalyan who has made many promises but doesn’t seem to be interested in keeping any of them. Wonder what Pawan has to say to this?
