It has become extremely difficult for media persons to read the mind of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on the State bifurcation issue.
One does not make out head or tail of what he says as he does not convey properly whether his party is in support of bifurcation or not.
For the last few days, the TDP president has been saying that the bifurcation was a conspiracy of the Congress party which was hell bent on splitting the Telugu people.
He even wrote a letter to the Prime Minister not to go ahead with the division process without the approval of the state assembly.
But on Monday, the TDP president sprang a surprise saying that the TDP had agreed for Telangana formation in principle in 2008 and since then, it had never changed the stand.
But he continued to blame the Congress saying it was dividing the State for political mileage only. He alleged that the Centre had not responded to his party’s demand to have a dialogue with Joint Action Committees of both regions on the issue of division of the State.
And it left the media persons in a totally confused state!
