When Chandra Babu announced he was handing over the reins of the TDP to his son Lokesh, there were many dissident voices.
NTR Jr felt slighted and sulked when the news came out.
Naturally, everyone assumed it would mean handing over formal power to Lokesh.
But if one looks at it, it’s only people who can give true power.
Chandra Babu seems to have passed on one legacy to his heir, though. And that is bursting out at opponents at the slightest provocation.
Even Lokesh seems to have acquired the right skills to lash out at people.
At all public forums, he time and again claims that the cases against Chandra Babu Naidu could not be proved, that TDP is synonymous with youth and that the state owes its development to Chandra Babu Naidu alone.
However, he seems to be conveniently oblivious to the fact that Chandra Babu used his powers to meddle with the courts to dismiss cases against him and that all development in Hyderabad was actually development of Murali Mohan’s real estate ventures.
We are left wondering if Lokesh is unaware of these facts or chooses to ignore them?
