Is There Dissention Inside The 'Car'?

Barely six months since the Telangana Rashtra Samithi has come into power, various splinter groups within the party are slowly raising their heads.

However, it has to be said that it is quite common for a party to face opposition in the wake of Cabinet expansion as there are bound to be those who end up sulking for not getting a berth.

But KCR’s strategy to keep the opposing forces appeased has worked so far. Hardly have six months passed by and one gets to hear of many voices expressing their discontentment over KCR’s style of functioning.

Naturally, this is no small issue for a party that has been in power for six months.

In fact, many say that the party managed to handle the issue of Koppula deftly before it snowballed into something bigger.

For now, KCR’s cabinet is full. There is hardly any space for more people to be accommodated any time in near future. A

lso, unless CM KCR chooses to expel some ministers from his Cabinet, chances are bleak for any new members to be inducted. So, many are debating as to how KCR will accommodate people like Koppula in the coming days?

On the face of it, everyone looks happy and the party appears to be pleased with the developments. But the fact that many senior leaders haven’t turned up at the swearing in ceremony yesterday hasn’t gone unnoticed by those in political circles and the CM himself.

Meanwhile, with the swearing in ceremony done, the party is now gearing up for the forthcoming GHMC elections. Many are curious to see how the newly inducted minister Talasani will impact the fortunes of the party in the local body elections.

If the impact is not substantial, many predict that there is bound to be major upheaval within the party.
