If TRS party sources are to be believed, commercial taxes and cinematography minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav is not in the 'good books' of Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao at present.
Mr Rao went overboard to accommodate Talasani in his cabinet despite being a TDP MLA from Sanathnagar and faced severe criticism from all quarters besides encountering political and legal problems on this issue and all this was done for the sake of strengthening TRS in city ahead of GHMC elections, which is weak since its inception.
However, an internal survey conducted by TRS suggested that Talasani can’t win Sanathnagar seat if his resignation is accepted and bypoll is held and he is becoming a ‘liability’ to TRS while he was considered to be an ‘asset’ while inducting him into TRS.
Moreover, the CM is also reportedly upset at his functioning as minister with no improvement in commercial tax collections.
Added to this, his involvement in ‘settlements’ in city along with his family members has been bringing disrepute to TRS, say the party sources.
They expect the CM to strip him off commercial taxes portfolio first whenever cabinet reshuffle happens and slowly to be shown the door later depending on the outcome of GHMC polls.
