Is all the mud-slinging going on between the TRS and the Congress a big farce? Is KCR just acting to a dictated script from the Congress?
When Sonia Gandhi finally made up her mind to get the T-Bill passed in Parliament, the first thing that would have occurred to her is: What if KCR goes back on his word and does not merge his Party with the Congress?
Interestingly, after the Bill was passed, KCR and his family met Sonia at her residence where KCR had a closed door chat with Sonia. No other member of the TRS was privy to that conversation.
A person of the intelligence and stature of Sonia Gandhi would definitely have worked out a fail-proof mechanism to ensure that the TRS does not go back on its word after Telangana was conceded.
It is precisely this aspect which makes everything that has happened since then between the Congress and the TRS seem like a big farce.
For somebody who has tamed the likes of the stubborn YS Jagan, KCR is not an issue at all. Despite all the foul language that he uses, KCR is not a ‘Sicilian’ in that he can risk everything for the cause he believes in. He is not stupid either and knows pretty well, the risk of taking on the Center.
As such, it would not come as a surprise if it were found that he is hand-in-glove with the Congress and is only carrying out the instructions of Sonia.
What lends further credence to this belief is the equal weightage being given to the Congress by the newspaper ‘Namasthe Telangana’.
