Is CM Suspecting Congress Bosses?

The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is crestfallen. He never would have imagined that he would be asked to preside over the division of the state.

Despite his open revolt against the party high command's decision to bifurcate the state, the UPA leadership has gone ahead with the move and Telangana state is now irrevocable.

What has disturbed Kiran was the way the Union Cabinet took up the matter and gave its nod without keeping him in the loop.

It is said that the Chief Minister was deliberately kept out of the process since his strong views on Telangana are well known.

The party high command wanted to move ahead without his involvement, A shocked and disturbed Chief Minister is believed to have expressed dismay over the conduct of the Delhi bosses before his close confidants.

"How can they go ahead like this despite our strong reservations?" Kiran is believed to have remarked.

In fact, he reportedly commented that the high command must have found some "new friends" and that is why it is ignoring the state party leaders.

This is being interpreted in political circles as Chief Minister's suspicion over the possible "match-fixing" between the Congress central leadership and the YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

This allegation is being made by the main opposition Telugu Desam Party for some time now.

In the first step has alleged that Jagan's release on bail could be part of the political quid pro quo between him and the Congress for his support to the UPA after the 2014 elections.

Now, the Chief Minister also appears to be believing in the charge. This could be the first step towards his eventual exit from the party and go down as a political martyr  for the cause of united AP.
