Former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy is currently filled with discontentment.
There is a lot of dissatisfaction in Balineni with his own party leaders leading a negative campaign against him. In fact, he broke down before the media the other day when he was referring to the negative campaign against him.
It is said that there is one more meeting planned between Balineni and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy early next week.
Whether this proposed meeting would resolve the issue or not, there is a strong word circulating in the party that Balineni would leave the party soon.
There has been talk that Balineni also received a call from the TDP leadership in 2016 when 23 MLAs and 3 MPs defected to the TDP.
During the 2019 elections too, Balineni had an invitation from the TDP which he softly turned down, or rather, reserved.
When Balineni was the minister for mines in Jagan's first cabinet, the TDP did not criticize him or even his mines department where corruption is high.
Even now, it is said that the TDP has kept its doors open for him and is offering either an MLA or MP seat in the next election.
When Balineni broke down before the media, he told the media persons that his character is known to everyone, and the TDP leaders have more clarity on this. This indicates his relationship with the TDP leadership in Prakasam district and the state as well.
His close contact with the TDP leadership is one of the reasons for his rivals in the district to launch a negative campaign against him.
It remains to be seen what moves Balineni will make in the days to come as elections are just one year away from now.
