Telugu Desam Party on Monday took serious exception to Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders describing their party president K Chandrasekhara Rao as “Father of Telangana.”
Senior TDP leader A Revanth Reddy said describing KCR as father of Telangana was nothing but insulting the people of the region.
He said KCR had the habit of deceiving people who believed him. He reminded that KCR had conspired to root out the TDP, which gave him political life. And the TRS president was also targeting the TDP, which gave a political platform to the BC, he said.
Questioning why KCR was not merging TRS into the Congress even after the Centre taking a positive decision on formation of separate Telangana State, he demanded that KCR merge TRS into the Congress and pave the way for formation of separate State immediately.
He said KCR was not interested in the separate Telangana State at this juncture due to his political ambitions.
