Entire India seems to be following "KCR model" of crediting money directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries just before polling to win elections.
Though TRS government came to power in 2014, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao launched Rythu Bandhu scheme in a strategic manner in 2018 when Telangana Assembly went for polls.
KCR planned the scheme in such a meticulous manner that the money was credited in the bank accounts of 58 lakh land owners/ farmers twice within a gap of six months.
These 58 lakh beneficiaries received Rs 4,000 per acre in May/June and again Rs 4,000 per acre in November/December.
Each farmer received Rs 20,000 in their accounts on an average.
KCR even dissolved the Assembly nine-months before it's term to ensure that he derived the benefit out of Rythu Bandhu soon after beneficiaries received second instalment of money in their accounts.
Such was his planning that the second installment was credited from December 1 to 7, while the polling was held on December 7.
These beneficiaries were upbeat looking at the SMSs on their mobile phones they received from the banks and agriculture department stating that how much amount was credited in their bank account ahead of polling. This developed a sense of gratitude among beneficiaries towards KCR.
These beneficiaries and their family members are believed to have voted enmasse to TRS which resulted in huge victory.
Now, the Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Odisha and Jhakhand announced Rythu Bandhu scheme in their respective states.
Many more states are expected to follow suit with a belief that KCR's model of crediting money in bank accounts will ensure victory in elections.
Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi is contemplating to implement such a scheme.
He wants to credit Rs 3,000 per month in the bank accounts of 10 crore poor families before elections to retain power in 2019 elections.
