Recently, when a group of farmers met Union Minister, Venkayya Naidu asking the latter for protection for their lands from the ‘land pooling’ scheme, Naidu was believed to have lost his temper.
Naidu reportedly told the farmers that if they did not part with their lands, then the new capital would be shifted to Nuzvid.
One fails to understand this behavior on the part of the ‘Honorable’ Minister.
Instead of trying to assuage the feelings of the worried farmers and promise justice to them, he has actually given them an ultimatum of sorts.
And with whose authority and permission was he saying that the new capital would come up in Nuzvid if the farmers did not co-operate? How can he give a unilateral statement on such a serious and sensitive issue?
Sad to say but true, Venkayya Naidu is behaving more like the PA of Chandrababu Naidu rather than a Union Minister with an objective bent of mind.
