The Bharatiya Janata Party leadership is learnt to have advised its leaders and cadre in Andhra Pradesh not to take power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan’s latest twitter war against the party seriously but ignore him.
According to party sources, the AP BJP leaders were planning to address a series of press meets and meetings to counter Pawan Kalyan’s allegations in the last five days using Twitter platform. But following the message from top leaders like M Venkaiah Naidu, the BJP leaders have decided to maintain restraint on Pawan’s comments and allegations.
The only reaction came from Visakhapatnam MP and BJP Andhra Pradesh unit chief K Haribabu who said the issues Pawan Kalyan raised did not have anything to do with the BJP or the NDA government. Though he tried to found fault with the film star, he didn’t tried to question his motives.
The BJP leaders suspect that Pawan Kalyan is being backed by the Left parties, who have no significant presence in Andhra Pradesh.
“If he takes the Left leaning, he will fade out from politics, as people won’t take him seriously,” a BJP leader said.
