Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has said that he will decide whether or not to contest for the Rajya Sabha after his meeting with union minister Chiranjeevi.
But will he really ask Chiranjeevi or is it his ploy to be in Chiranjeevi’s good books?
Earlier, when six Seemandhra MPs moved a no-confidence motion, Chiranjeevi did not support it. So, will he support Ganta’s candidature as a rebel candidate to the RS?
Of late, Ganta has been closely moving with Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. He is also contemplating to contest on the TDP ticket in the coming elections.
Given this scenario, one fails to understand why Ganta is dragging Chiranjeevi into it.
One reason could be that Ganta is averse to the idea of contesting for the Rajya Sabha as it means spending huge amount of money.
It is a known fact that Ganta had won on the ticket of Praja Rajyam party started by Chiranjeevi.
When it merged with the Congress, Ganta was made the minister on Chiranjeevi’s behest.
So, is Ganta showing his respect for Chiru or is this his escapist strategy?
