
Minister for Information Technology and Panchayat Raj K Taraka Rama Rao on Friday said Hyderabad would be developed into a Health Capital in the near future.
Participating as chief guest in the three-day Indo-Global Healthcare Summit 2014 at Taj Krishna here, KTR said: “We give top priority to health sector and doubled the funds allocation to develop all other districts to have top class medical facilities. Only Hyderabad has corporate medical facilities right now”.
Stating that the Telangana State Capital is an apt place to become a health hub, he said the Government has allocated 10 per cent of funds for medical and health sector.
KTR said the TRS Government is giving utmost priority to medical tourism, which is spreading across the globe and in Telangana capital.
He also stressed the need for spending adequate funds to transform the Government Hospitals in the region to have all facilities and modern equipment to surpass the corporate hospitals.
