Huge setback to Telangana Cong

Even as the Telangana Congress leaders were boasting about returning to power in the wake of the failure of the TRS government in implementing its promises, the party suffered a big blow in its bastion Nalgonda, with Zilla Parishath Chairman Balu Naik joining the TRS along with several ZPTC and MPTC members.

Within no time, KCR appointed Balu Naiuk as in-charge of Devarakonda TRS party in Nalgonda.

Inviting Balu Naik into TRS fold at a program held in Telangana Bhavan here on Tuesday, KCR appealed to the leaders and people to strengthen the party to transform the State into a Golden Telangana.

KCR said safe and potable drinking water will be supplied to each household as per schedule.

“The TRS Government is committed to fulfill its promises, including Telangana Water Grid for the purpose. We have initiated steps to produce adequate power to cater to the needs of people in three years”, he added.

Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao, who was present, said he would put in efforts for development of Nalgonda district.

“The people of Khammam and Nalgonda are like brothers and will together develop their districts”, he said. Balu Naik said he joined the TRS fold for developing Nalgonda district.
