TDP MLA, Prakash Goud created a sensation of sorts when he said that he would join the TRS if his constituency was given Rs 350 crore for development work along with the promise of 'Manjeera water' for every home.
Elected from Rajendranagar constituency of Hyderabad, Prakash Goud said, “The people of my constitution elected me twice till now. It is my responsibility to take care of their need. I have asked 200 crore for the 4 divisions of my constitution and another 150 crore for Rajendra Nagar and Shamshabad mandal.”
He further added, “I met the Chief Minister two months ago and spoke about the problems of the constituency. I made it clear that I will join the TRS if the constituency problems are solved. But even after speaking to him, there is no improvement in the situation. What is the use of me joining another Party when my requests are not fulfilled?” the key point to be note here is that did Prakash Goud join the TDP on the basis of Party ideology or did the latter promise him Rs 350 crore for his constituency?
What will he do with that money? Does he have any blue print? What has he done for the people of Rajendranagar so far out of the allotted budget?
And besides, if every MLA starts asking hundreds of crores for his constituency, KCR will go bankrupt.
The situation has come to such a pass that MLA’s are now openly quoting their figures for switching over to the TRS in the name of constituency development.
Wonder how much Teegala Krishna Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav got for the development of their constituencies.
