The following incident makes it crystal clear that Narendra Modi does not have a high regard for Chandrababu Naidu despite the TDP being an ally of the BJP. And Modi is not to be blamed for it!
If Chandrababu felt that he could get Modi to dish out freebies as and when asked for without any genuine reasons then he had better think again!
The recent ‘Hudhud’ cyclone in Vizag destroyed the green cover of the city and derailed the common life of the people for nearly a month.
Chandrababu utilized the opportunity to project himself as working tirelessly to alleviate the misery caused by the cyclone.
He then pegged the total loss caused by ‘Hudhud’ at a whopping Rs 63000 crore and asked Modi for immediate assistance of approximately Rs 10000 crore. Rs 63000 crore?
Will anyone in their right mind believe this figure quoted by Naidu? Modi who surveyed the damage announced a relief of Rs 1000 crore immediately and left!
So far, AP has got Rs 515 crore out of the promised amount. So, if we get another Rs 485 crore, the entire promised amount will have been delivered, right? Wrong! The Rs 515 crore has been allotted to AP from the ‘National Disaster Relief Fund’ (Rs 400 crore) and ‘State Disaster Relief Fund’ (Rs 115 crore).
This Rs 515 crore is an advance which means that AP will have to repay it sometime in the future. Had the money been the ‘relief’ amount promised by Modi, it need not have been paid back.
So, technically, the BJP has not given even a single ‘paisa’ of the relief fund promised by Modi. These details were revealed in Parliament by Rajya Sabha MP from AP, Sitaram Yechury of the CPI.
IF THIS BE THE NATURE OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN NAIDU AND MODI, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY THAT AP IS GOING TO GET THE SPECIAL PACKAGE for it is clear from this incident that Naidu lacks credibility with Modi!
