Citing lack of funds for the State, the AP government has decided to issue new liquor licenses and build more bars in the state.
The number of bars in the state will go up to 1,100 from the existing 780 as the state government has decided to take the 2011 census as the criteria for granting new licences.
A bar will be sanctioned for every 30,000 people. The new guidelines for bars and licenses will come into force from today.
What else is this government going to do in the name of raising revenue? Start brothels?
A government should initiate such measures as would contribute to the well-being of society, not policies that further contribute to its degeneration.
A bar for 30,000 people indeed! How about a hospital for at least, every 10 lakh people Mr. Naidu?
